Marie   Dowd    

I have worked as a peripatetic teacher and performer since graduating from Huddersfield University's Bmus (hons) course in 2008. During this time I have gained invaluable experience working with both children and adults in many educational settings from whole class school lessons on recorder to preparation for Conservatoire entrance auditions and diploma preparation. I hope that all lessons are fun and accessible whether working towards ABRSM exams or just playing for fun. I have performed both as a soloist of local orchestras and wind orchestras covering concerts when key players are unable to attend. Recently, this has included a performance with Sheffield Symphony Orchestra. In addition, I enjoy performing as part of pit orchestras for musicals and playing as part of small groups for weddings and other functions.
